The Michele Cea Award. Now in its seventh year, the Michele Cea Award, whose mission is to give visibility to emerging young artists and provide them with financial support, is increasingly gaining ground in the world of figurative arts. This year's contest saw 143 Italian and international artists participate, submitting works of painting, graphic design, sculpture, and photography to the jury. This result recognizes the commitment of the Michele Cea ETS Foundation, established by Lina Bavaro and Nicola Cea in memory of their only son, Michele, an artist who passed away prematurely in 2015 at the age of 27. Since then, in memory of their son, Lina and Nicola have supported many young artists through the Foundation's activities and the establishment of the Michele Cea Award, helping them not to give up and to continue believing in their dreams and their talent.
“Since we can no longer support Michele with his art, we help all other young people to make themselves known without asking for anything in return,” say Nicola Cea and Lina Bavaro, respectively President and Vice President of the Michele Cea ETS Foundation.
